After care for your lashes

Congrats on your new beautiful set of lashes! The absolute best part about having lash extensions is that you can go about doing everything you love while having long luscious lashes.  Enjoy that hot yoga session, 2 mile run on the beach or cannon ball into the water. Just be sure to follow these steps below to ensure your lashes last as long as as possible!

  • Do not get your lashes wet for the first 8 hours. Avoid steam, saunas, and any kind of cleansing directly on your lashes during this time.

  • Do not perm, tint, curl or cut your lash extensions.

  • Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face. Clean around the eyes with a washcloth or facial cleanser. I will provide you with instructions on how to clean your lashes safely.

  • Do not pull, tug or twist on your lash extensions, this could cause you to take out your natural lash.

  • Do not try to remove the extensions on your own, call me and I will remove them without harming your natural lashes.

  • Avoid any type of oil based products directly on your lash line, including any type of eye-creams.

  • Oil on your lash extensions break down the bond of the adhesive prematurely, and causes the lashes to ‘slip off’. I will provide instructions on how to completely avoid this from happening!

  • I do not recommend using mascara on your lash extensions - there is really no need! That is the whole point of having these awesome lashes.

  • While cleansing your eyes, be sure to avoid rubbing the lashes. Remove makeup in an upwards motion and away from extensions. Use a q-tip to get as close as you can.

  • Come in for touch ups every 2 - 3 weeks.

  • Treat your eyes gently - as if you have makeup on that you don’t want to smudge.

  • Brush and groom your lashes gently with a disposable mascara brush or eye shadow brush. I will provide you with these!

  • Try to sleep on your back or side to avoid smashing your lashes in your sleep.

  • When using night creams/serums, apply sparingly and blot off excess. Make sure to avoid applying this to direct lash line.

  • When you touch your lashes, always use upward, sweeping motions - no side-to- side rubbing at the lash line.

  • Keep your fingers off your lashes.  Every time you touch them you are transferring natural oil and germs.
