lip blush

DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Lip Blush is a form of cosmetic tattooing designed to enhance the natural color, shape, and overall appearance of the lips. Using soft, custom-blended pigments, the lips are gently tinted to create a more even tone, refined definition, and a naturally flushed look. Unlike traditional lipstick tattoos, Lip Blush results are sheer, subtle, and meant to look like your lips - just better.

Lip Blush can help:

  • Enhance your natural lip color

  • Improve symmetry and correct uneven tones

  • Define the lip borders without harsh lines

  • Create the appearance of fuller, more youthful lips

Your appointment includes a full, in-depth consultation where we walk through each step together. From shaping and pre-drawing your lips to selecting the perfect custom color and performing the lip blush treatment.

A topical numbing is applied throughout the appointment to keep you comfortable and relaxed. The pre-draw ensures you feel confident and excited about your results before we begin.

You’ll go home with an aftercare kit and clear instructions to support optimal healing. Please be sure to review all pre-care and preparation details before booking.

LIP POST PROCEDURE:

You will wash lips before bed with luke warm water and unscented soap or cleanser. Apply the aftercare that is given to you by Thirdeye Studio in a thin layer after cleaning. Make sure hands are clean before you touch your lips and wash them. Repeat in the morning. You will continue this for 5 days minimum. Please remember this is a new tattoo and should be cared for like an open wound. Do not over saturate with healing balm and do not let the lips get too dried out.

THINGS TO AVOID POST TREATMENT

No application of any lip makeup for 1 week other than the healing balm that is given to you.

No scratching, picking or licking of dry skin or flakiness.

No super spicy foods during the first 24 hours.

No foreign body fluids in or around the lips for 5 days.

No activities that will cause extreme sweating for 5 days.

No swimming pools, hot tubs or other bodies of water for 5 days.

No uv exposure (including tanning booths) for 5 days.

No laser light therapy, as it can darken/lighten or distort the pigment of the lip color.

No exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids and alpha hydroxy acids on the area for 30 days after the appointment (causes premature fading).

No massages, facials or skin treatments for 5 days.

Avoid using whitening toothpaste.

Avoid drinking dark liquids

FAQ

DOES IT HURT?

Your lips will be numbed with a topical anesthetic (before), and during the procedure to ensure you are completely comfortable. Clients compare the feeling to light scratches, small pinches or a strong lip scrub.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT POST TREATMENT?

 You may experience:

  • Swelling

  • Flaking

  • Peeling

  • Dryness

  • Strong pigmentation (a bolder color than you were expecting)

HOW LONG DOES LIP BLUSH LAST?

Typically 2-3 years and will gradually lighten and fade over time, until your lips return to their natural hue.

It is recommended for a yearly refresh session to prolong your desired lip shade.
