PERMANENT BROW ART: WHICH STYLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Which Brow Style Is Right for You?

Choosing the right brow technique depends on a few things — your skin type, lifestyle, how you wear your makeup, and how you want your brows to age over time. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, which is why consultations are so important! At Thirdeye, we’ll walk you through your options and help you choose the technique that works best for you — not just what’s trending.

MICROBLADING:

Microblading is a brow technique that creates the look of fine, hair-like strokes using a small handheld tool. The goal is a soft, natural enhancement that mimics real brow hairs.

Great for: Clients with dry to normal skin who love a natural, fluffy brow look and don’t wear a lot of makeup.

Good to know: Because microblading is done closer to the surface of the skin, it works best on certain skin types. Oily, sensitive, or mature skin, results may fade or blur more quickly over time. That’s why we’re very selective and always make sure it’s the right fit before recommending it.

MACHINE HAIR STROKES:

Machine hair strokes create the same realistic, hair-like look — but with a machine instead of a manual tool/blade.

Why we love this technique: Machine hair strokes could be gentler on the skin and can heal softer in the skin. They’re also suitable for more skin types and usually age better over time compared to traditional microblading.

Great for: Clients who want a natural brow but are concerned about longevity and skin health.

COMBO BROWS

Combo brows are exactly what they sound like — a combination of hair strokes with soft shading throughought the brow to add more density.

Great for: Clients with sparse brows, uneven growth, or anyone who wants a little more definition while still keeping things natural.

The look: Light and fluffy, with enough density to keep a natural full brow.

POWDER BROWS:

Powder brows are created using a tattoo machine to build a soft, shaded effect — similar to how brows look when lightly filled in with makeup.

Great for: Oily skin, mature skin, or anyone who prefers a more polished, makeup-style brow. Some clients just need this overall.

Why they’re so popular:Powder brows heal very evenly, have great longevity, and can be customized from super soft to more bold depending on your preference.
